YOUTH NEWS

FALL YOUTH EVENTS

With the exception of the OK’D in Christ District Gathering, all activities in November will be for both the Jr. and Sr. High groups.  This means all students in 6th – 8th grades are encouraged to spend Sunday afternoons with friends at the park, eating pizza and studying God’s Word. Our Sunday afternoon/evening Bible Study time is divided into Jr. and Sr. High age groups.  Contact Kim Seewald (Sr. High) or Sacha Cason (Jr. High) for details.

Upcoming Dates to Remember

• Evening Bible Study – November Schedule (meet upstairs):
  • November 2nd – after the Thrivent activity at Andrew’s Park
  • November 9th – 5:00 to 6:00
  • November 16th – 4:00 to 5:00 (earlier because of LWML Teen event)
  • No Bible Study November 23rd or 30th due to OK’D in Christ and Thanksgiving Break
• November 2nd – Thrivent Activity at Andrew’s Park 2:00 – 6:00 
• November 2nd – Bible Study after the Thrivent activity
• November 9th – Sunday School Party 11:45 to 1:00, pizza & games at the church.
• November 9th – Bible Study 5:00 to 6:00
• November 16th – Annual Teen LWML Gathering at Messiah Lutheran Church in OKC from 1:00 to 3:00
• November 16th – Bible Study 4:00 – 5:00
• November 21st – 23rd OK’D in Christ Annual Oklahoma District LCMS Youth Gathering in Tulsa, 9th – 12th grades. 

Both Jr. and Sr. High LYF have lots planned for December.  We will help with the Sunday School Christmas Program with a Living Nativity on Dec. 14th, have a Christmas Party with Ice Skating in OKC on Dec. 21st, go to Chickasha to see the lights, and spend time in Bible Study.  Watch the Bulletin and the Yahoo Group for more information.

• January 16th – 18th Journey in January at Camp Lutherhoma, Sr. High LYF, mark your calendars now!

ATTENTION ALL CHURCH MEMBERS: We need a refrigerator for the Youth Room.  If you have one to donate, please contact Kim Seewald at dkseewald@cox.net or 360-0720.  This will be used for church youth and children’s ministries.
